David Shore (The Good Doctor, House) is adapting the British drama Accused for Paramount Network in partnership with Sony Pictures Television.

Accused is based on the BAFTA- and International Emmy-winning U.K. format, which is sold by all3media international and was originally commissioned by BBC One. In the anthology series, each stand-alone episode follows a different character as they make their way to court to hear whether they’ve been found guilty of a crime. As the verdict nears, their backstories, personal journeys, and the events that led up to their being accused of the crime play out.

Production partners will also include Shore Z Productions and All3Media America.

Executive producers for Accused include Shore, All3Media America’s Greg Lipstone and Nina Lederman and Erin Gunn. Brad Gardner, the senior VP of development and original programming for Paramount Network and TV Land, will oversee the project for the network.
