BURBANK: Sky 1 has scored the U.K. television rights for the Carlton Cuse drama Colony in a deal with Legendary Television.

The one-hour series centers on one family’s struggle to survive and bring liberty back to the people of an occupied Los Angeles. The drama, a co-production between Legendary and Universal Cable Productions, has been ordered for a second season on USA Network. It will begin airing in the U.K. on Sky 1 on April 7.

“With the past success of Lost on Sky 1, we know that this latest project from Carlton Cuse is in great hands,” said Legendary Television’s executive VP and managing director of EMEA distribution, John McMahon. “Sky 1’s commitment to curating an impressive slate of compelling character-driven dramas makes this partnership an exciting addition to Colony’s mission for global occupation.”
