Colin Firth Joins Untitled Apple TV Drama

Colin Firth has joined the cast of Apple TV’s untitled drama based on the Berlin Noir book series.

The series is adapted by Peter Straughan and directed by Tom Shankland, who also executive produces. Firth joins the previously announced lead star Jack Lowden. Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman executive produce for PlayTone.

Philip Kerr’s Berlin Noir book series features detective Bernie Gunther, and this adaptation begins with Metropolis and his origin story in 1928. Jane Tranter, Dan McCulloch and Ryan Rasmussen executive produce for Bad Wolf, alongside Straughan.
