CJ ENM’s Police Procedural Voice Being Adapted in Japan

CJ ENM has licensed the police procedural Voice for an adaptation in Japan, where it has been picked up by Nippon TV.

Directed by Taro Otani from the production company AX-ON Inc., the drama will star Toshiaki Karasawa and Yoko Maki. The show will debut in July in a Saturday prime-time slot.

Voice is a suspense story that focuses on the Golden Time Team, with a professional voice profiler gifted with acute hearing skills. Together with the team, their mission is to arrive at the crime scene within ten minutes of golden time, no matter what.

Jangho Seo, general manager at CJ ENM, said: “CJ ENM’s unique and trendy scripted formats are gaining popularity worldwide. Voice, especially, is one of the highest-scoring drama series on our crime series channel OCN, and we are happy to see it travel to Japan. We are hoping Voice is one of the greatest hits this summer in Japan.”
