Calinos Acquires Turkish Adaptation of The Cleaning Lady

Calinos Entertainment has acquired the distribution rights for Farah, the Turkish adaptation of the Argentinean series La chica que limpia (The Cleaning Lady).

The Turkish remake, from O3 Medya, tells the story of an Iranian woman who ran away from her country and is struggling to live in Istanbul, where she works as a cleaning lady in order to pay for her son’s medical treatment. After witnessing a murder, she ends up having to become a mafia accomplice.

Farah stars Demet Ozdemir, Engin Akyurek, Firat Tanis, Senan Kara, Lale Basar, Oktay Cubuk, Mustafa Avkiran and Ali Surmeli. It is written by Deniz Dargi, M. Cem Gorgec and S. Cenk Bogatur and directed by Recai Karagoz. It debuted on FOX Turkey on March 1 and airs every Wednesday.
