BritBox, the streaming service from BBC Studios and ITV, is set to premiere two new original mysteries in December, as well as a Christmas ghost story collection.

On December 1, the crime drama The Tower, based on the novel by Kate London, will be released. Starring Gemma Whelan (Game of Thrones), the series follows DSI Sarah Collins as she sets out to uncover the truth behind the death of a veteran cop and a teenage girl from atop a tower in London.

Crime, based on Irvine Welsh’s best-selling novel, will debut on December 14. Starring Dougray Scott (Mission: Impossible 2, My Week with Marilyn), the series sees DI Ray Lennox investigate the disappearance of a schoolgirl while battling his own personal demons.

BritBox will feature BBC’s A Ghost Story for Christmas collection, based on M. R. James’ short stories, beginning December 20. The full collection, consisting of the original episodes from the ’70s and from the revival, will be available.

Other holiday specials coming to BritBox are Death in Paradise Christmas Special, QI Christmas Special, Mock the Week Christmas Special, Carols from King’s 2021 and Mrs. Brown’s Boys Christmas Special.
