Boiling Point Drama Series for BBC One

The BBC has commissioned a new five-part drama series based on the multi-award-winning 2021 film Boiling Point.

Picking up six months from where the film left off, the Boiling Point series will see Sous Chef Carly (Vinette Robinson) as Head Chef at her own restaurant. Many of the film’s original cast will be reprising their roles, including Stephen Graham as Andy and Hannah Walters as Emily.

The series reunites the film’s co-writer and director Philip Barantini, who will helm the first two episodes, and co-writer James Cummings alongside producers Hester Ruoff and Bart Ruspoli.

Ascendant Fox and Matriarch Productions are producing with Made Up Productions. Filming will begin early next year on the series, which will air on BBC One and Player.

International distribution will be handled by BBC Studios.
