The Australian drama series The Hunting and My Life is Murder have scored slots in the U.K., on Channel 5 and UKTV respectively.

The four-part The Hunting from A Closer Production is set to premiere on SBS in Australia on August 1, with a U.K. launch later this year. It looks at the lives of four teens and their families in the run-up to and aftermath of a nude photo scandal. The ten-part My Life is Murder from CJZ Production for Network Ten Australia will run on UKTV’s Alibi in September. It is a procedural crime drama set in Melbourne. Both deals were clinched by DCD Rights.

Nicky Davies Williams, CEO at DCD Rights, said, “Australian drama has had somewhat of a renaissance lately and The Hunting and My Life is Murder are prime examples of how the Australian content industry is still in its ascendency. Both these series are perfect for prime-time schedules in the U.K. and we are delighted that U.K. viewers will have the opportunity to enjoy Australian drama at its best.”
