The ATRESplayer Premium series Veneno has been sold into new territories, including France, where it recently premiered on BrutX.

Atresmedia Internacional Sales is in advanced negotiations to bring Veneno to more than 20 markets, including Canada, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Belgium, Russia, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Bulgaria, Liechtenstein, Moldova, the Netherlands, Sweden, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Romania, Iceland and Luxembourg.

Veneno bowed on ATRESplayer Premium in Spain a year ago, and then soon found success in Latin America and the U.S. through HBO Max.

Created by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi, Veneno is based on the life and death of Cristina Ortiz “La Veneno” and the young journalist who wrote her biography. The series is inspired by ¡Digo! Ni puta ni santa, the official memoirs of La Veneno written by journalist Valeria Vegas, who was also one of the protagonist’s best friends and part of the series’ writing team. Veneno is produced by Atresmedia Televisión in collaboration with Buendía Estudios and Suma Latina and is a co-production with Apache Films.
