ATF Spotlight: Electric Entertainment

Among the lead highlights that Electric Entertainment is presenting at ATF is Almost Paradise.

“Almost Paradise is a TV series shot in the Philippines with an almost entirely Asian cast,” says Sonia Mehandjiyska, head of international distribution. “It is also a crime series with self-contained episodes, which international broadcasters are looking for.”

The Outpost features an Australian lead, Jessica Green, and has been renewed for its third season, “which is a testament to its success,” says Mehandjiyska. “The genre is fantasy adventure, which is of particular interest to Asian audiences.”

Rounding out the highlights is the horror feature film Alone.

“We approach every market understanding the particular interest in the specific region,” says Mehandjiyska. “ATF is a very important market where the Asian television community gathers. In addition, for us to showcase our content gives us an opportunity to learn the current trends in the Asian marketplace and to meet with new emerging platforms throughout the region.”
