Apple Orders Basketball Drama from Kevin Durant

Apple has ordered to series the drama Swagger from NBA superstar Kevin Durant.

Hailing from Imagine Television, Thirty Five Ventures and CBS Television Studios, Swagger is inspired by Durant’s youth basketball experiences. It explores the world of AAU basketball in the nation’s capital and the players, their families and coaches who walk the fine line between dreams and ambition, and opportunism and corruption.

The project is written, directed and executive produced by NAACP Image Award winner Reggie Rock Bythewood (Shots Fired, Notorious), who also serves as showrunner. Executive producers include Brian Grazer, Francie Calfo (Empire), Durant, Rich Kleiman (partner in Thirty Five Ventures) and Bythewood.
