The Canal+ short-form series Calls is being adapted for Apple, which also acquired the rights to the first season of the French original.

Apple has placed a straight-to-series ten-episode order for the show, which was created by Timothée Hochet. The Canal+ original offers up short stories through real-life audio sources and minimal visuals. The Apple version will be co-produced with Canal+.

Earlier this month, Apple set the adaptation of Shantaram as its first international production. Anonymous Content and Paramount Television are producing the series.
