Amazon Studios Developing Darkover Series

SEATTLE: Amazon Studios is prepping an adaptation of Marion Zimmer Bradley’s Darkover sci-fi books after winning the rights in a competitive bidding war.

Produced for IM Global Television, the ongoing show will be an adaptation of a book series spanning 28 novels. Those books featured a unique blend of sci-fi and fantasy, swashbuckling adventure, political intrigue and sex, set in the exotic planet of Darkover.

Ilene Kahn Power (Gia, Traffic) and Elizabeth Stanley will be the non-writing executive producers on the project. The studio is currently looking for someone to adapt the work from page to screen.
