Amazon Scores Starz’s The Girlfriend Experience

SEATTLE/BEVERLY HILLS: Amazon and Starz Digital have inked a multi-territory content licensing pact that will see the limited series The Girlfriend Experience become available via Amazon Prime Video in the U.K., Germany, Austria and Japan.

Through the agreement with Starz’s global digital and on-demand licensing arm, all 13 episodes are launching exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in the U.K., Germany and Austria today and are slated to become available in Japan later this year. From executive producer Steven Soderbergh, The Girlfriend Experience stars Riley Keough as a second-year law student and intern at a prestigious firm. She must learn to balance two different lives when she becomes involved in the world of transactional relationships.

In addition to Soderbergh, the limited series is executive produced by Philip Fleishman, Lodge Kerrigan, Amy Seimetz, Gary Marcus and Jeff Cuban. Kerrigan and Seimetz created the show.
