Ackley Bridge Returns to Filming

Next month, filming resumes on the Channel 4 drama Ackley Bridge, with some new talent among the cast.

The new 10×30-minute season of Ackley Bridge will air stripped across two weeks in an earlier evening slot in 2021. The cast includes Robyn Cara (Life, Hounslow Diaries), Yasmin Al Khudhairi (Hilda) and Ryan Dean (The Gentleman, Penny on M.A.R.S.), along with Carla Woodcock (Free Rein Pandora) and Shobhit Piasa (Londonstani), with guest star Conor McIntyre (Coronation Street).

They join the returning cast including Sunetra Sarker, Rob James Collier, Jo Joyner, Charlie Hardwick, Tony Jayawardena, Fern Deacon, Phoebe Tuffs-Berry, Cody Ryan, Nazmeen Kauser and Zara Salim.

Ackley Bridge is produced by The Forge and will resume filming in Halifax next month with COVID-secure measures in place.
