ABS-CBN Series Air Around the World

Drama series from the Philippines’ ABS-CBN are airing around the world in 2022, including in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

In Africa, New Beginnings, known locally as Bagong Umaga, airs in over 41 countries, including Kenya, Ghana and Madagascar via the StarTimes channel. The series chronicles the struggles of six strong-willed individuals.

The action-drama series Asintado revolves around the opposite lives of siblings who were separated at a young age. Following good ratings in La Réunion via ART for the French-dubbed version, the show began airing on RTI 2 in the Ivory Coast.

In Myanmar, Deceptive Revenge (Maya Galeisar in Burmese, La Vida Lena locally), premiered on January 31 on Fortune TV. The series sees a scarred woman up for vengeance as she seeks revenge against a prominent clan that has wronged her family.

Fortune TV also recently aired the final run of Mirabilia (Sann Kyae Thaww Kan Kyamar in Burmese, Huwag Kang Mangamb locally), highlighting the mission of four teenagers to restore faith in God, after its debut in November 2021.

Several series have also aired in Latin America, including Pangako Sa’Yo in Ecuador, Peru and the Dominican Republic. The Heiress aired in Ecuador as well.
