ABC Orders Promised Land Pilot to Series

The Latinx family drama Promised Land has been ordered to series by ABC.

Promised Land is billed as an epic, generation-spanning drama about two Latinx families vying for wealth and power in California’s Sonoma Valley. The cast includes John Ortiz, Cecilia Suárez, Augusto Aguilera, Christina Ochoa, Mariel Molino, Tonatiuh, Andres Velez, Katya Martín and Rolando Chusan.

Matt Lopez serves as writer and executive producer. Adam Kolbrenner and Maggie Malina also serve as executive producers. Michael Cuesta will executive produce and direct.

The series is produced by ABC Signature, a part of Disney Television Studios.
