Henry Cavill to Star in Netflix’s The Witcher Saga

Henry Cavill (Mission: Impossible—Fallout, Justice League) has been cast as the lead in The Witcher saga for Netflix.

Based on the best-selling fantasy series, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family. Cavill will play Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter who struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts.

Lauren Schmidt Hissrich (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s The Defenders, Umbrella Academy) is serving as showrunner and EP. Alik Sakharov (House of Cards, Game of Thrones), Alex Garcia Lopez (Marvel’s Luke Cage, Utopia) and Charlotte Brändström (Outlander, Counterpart, Disparue) will direct.
