Jenji Kohan’s American Princess Ordered Straight to Series at Lifetime

Lifetime has given a straight-to-series order for American Princess, which comes from Jenji Kohan, Jamie Denbo and Tara Herrmann.

American Princess follows a socialite who runs off to join a Renaissance Faire after her wedding goes awry. Produced by A+E Studios in association with IM Global Television, the show has been greenlit for ten one-hour episodes.

Denbo (Ronna & Beverly) is writing and executive producing. Kohan (Orange Is the New Black, Weeds, GLOW) and Herrmann (Orange Is the New Black, GLOW) also executive produce.
