Turkish Drama Elif Gets Third Season, New Broadcasters

STOCKHOLM: Eccho Rights has signed two new deals on the drama Elif, which has been commissioned for a third season in Turkey.

Kanal 2 in Estonia licensed the drama, which it will begin airing at the end of this month. In Peru, Latina scheduled the broadcast of Elif for later in the year. In Turkey, season three of Elif will premiere at the end of September on Kanal 7, with a new run of 250 45-minute episodes.

Fredrik af Malmborg, managing director at Eccho Rights, said: “Elif is proving a huge ratings winner for broadcasters around the world. The emotional and addictive story line constantly attracts higher than average audience share for channels in both daytime and prime-time slots.”
