The Fosters Returns to ABC Family for Season Four

BURBANK: ABC Family has renewed its original drama series The Fosters for a fourth season.

The hour-long drama will air new episodes from season three starting January 25 at 8 p.m. The series follows a multi-ethnic family of adopted and biological teens being raised by two moms, one a police officer and the other a school vice principal.

“We have so many more stories to tell about the Foster family—these incredible characters have come into our lives and touched so many—from Stef and Lena’s wedding to the adoptions of Callie and Jude,” said Karey Burke, the executive VP of programming and development at ABC Family. “We look forward to more of the groundbreaking storytelling from this creative team.”

ABC Family will become Freeform in January.
