Ravalear: Not For Sale to Debut at Berlinale

Ravalear: Not for Sale has been selected for the 2026 Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale), becoming the first Spanish series to be part of the festival’s official section.

Ravalear: Not For Sale was created by Pol Rodríguez and directed by Pol Rodríguez and Isaki Lacuesta. The series produced by Arcadia is inspired by the true story of the series creators’ own family, owners of an iconic restaurant in downtown Barcelona.

The series will premiere in 2026 in Spain on HBO Max as an HBO Original, and subsequently on 3Cat (the Catalan Public Network). A thriller, Ravalear: Not For Sale, is set in a popular restaurant in the heart of Barcelona’s Raval neighborhood and has as its backdrop subjects such as real estate speculation, immigration and generational change-overs.

The ensemble cast features Enric Auquer Sardà, Maria Rodríguez Soto, Sergi López, Quim Ávila, Francesc Orella, Lluïsa Castell, Alba Guilera, Noor Ul Huda, Mohamed Ben Moula and Noa Guillén, with the special collaboration of Marc Martínez.

International sales of the series are handled by Filmax.

“We are extremely excited about this series,” said Iván Díaz, head of international at Filmax. “We believe that Ravalear: Not For Sale is the next gem of Catalan television drama, with its compelling blend of genres, the universal appeal of its story, and the exceptional talent it brings together both in front of and behind the camera. We are confident it will make a strong impact and travel very well beyond our borders”.
