Apple TV Slates New Dramedy Beat the Reaper

Apple TV has picked up Beat the Reaper, starring and executive produced by Will Poulter (Black Mirror, The Bear).

The series was adapted for television by showrunner Sam Catlin (Preacher, Breaking Bad), who also executive produces, with Apple Studios and New Regency serving as co-studios. Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan and Natalie Lehmann will executive produce for New Regency.

Based on the novel of the same name by Josh Bazell, Beat the Reaper will star Poulter as Dr. Peter Brown, an intern at Boston’s worst hospital. When a patient recognizes him from his dangerous past, Brown has eight hours to beat the reaper.
