The Assassin to Bow on AMC+ in the U.S.

Two Brothers Pictures’ The Assassin, distributed globally by All3Media International, is slated to bow exclusively on AMC+ in the U.S. on November 20.

Led by Keeley Hawes (Bodyguard, Orphan Black: Echoes, Line of Duty) and Freddie Highmore (The Good Doctor, Bates Motel, Leonardo), who also executive produce, the six-part thriller follows an estranged mother-and-son duo who are forced to work together to survive.

The Assassin is created, written and executive produced by Harry and Jack Williams. Other executive producers include Sarah Hammond, Alex Mercer, Daisy Mount and Hamish Wright, who also wrote episodes two, four and six. Krissie Ducker wrote episode three, and Selina Lim wrote episode five. Lisa Mulcahy and Daniel Nettheim directed the series.

In addition to Hawes and Highmore, the ensemble cast features Gina Gershon (Elsbeth), Gerald Kyd (Hostage), Shalom Brune-Franklin (The Girlfriend), Devon Terrell (Good Cop/Bad Cop), Alan Dale (Dynasty), Richard Dormer (Gangs of London), Jack Davenport (Elsbeth) and David Dencik (Chernobyl).
