Nominees Unveiled for 2025 Seoul International Drama Awards

The finalists have been unveiled for the 20th edition of the Seoul International Drama Awards, with 24 titles and 32 individuals selected from 276 entries from 50 countries.

The winners of the Seoul International Drama Awards 2025 will be announced in September, with the ceremony set to be broadcast on October 2 on SBS TV and YouTube.

Eight shows were shortlisted in the mini-series category from a range of territories: Adolescence, One Hundred Years of Solitude, The Eternaut and Asura on Netflix; Disney’s Korean series Hyper Knife; TBS’s Light of My Lion; and Apple TV+’s Pachinko and Sunny.

It’s an equally mixed bag of regional and international contenders in the series category, which includes the KBS drama For Eagle Brothers, Singapore’s Emerald Hill—The Little Nyonya Story, Saving Grace from the Philippines, Globo’s She’s the One from Brazil, The Beach from ERT in Greece and from Türkiye Ay Yapim’s The Good & The Bad and ATV’s The Nightfall.

Up for best TV movie are Italy’s Champagne—Peppino di Capri; Mexico’s La Puerta Verde; CJ ENM’s Our Beautiful Summer, The Son and Unbalanced Love; Smetana from Czech Television and Taiwan’s Though Dead, Still Alive.

In the running for best actor are Adam Scott (Severance), Benjamin Voisin (Carême), Giorgos Ninios (The Beach), Han Chin (Forget You Not), Owen Cooper (Adolescence) and Samuel Le Bihan (Alone at Sea). Actress nominees are Cate Blanchett (Disclaimer), Dami Kim (Nine Puzzles), Duda Santos (She’s The One), Jung-Young Kim (My Trouble-Maker Mom), Minha Kim (Pachinko), Rie Miyazawa (Asura) and Ying-xuan Hsieh (Forget You Not).
