All3Media International Secures New Worldwide Deals for Boarders

All3Media International has inked deals across five continents for Studio Lambert’s drama Boarders.

Seasons one and two have been acquired by Stan in Australia, Discovery in New Zealand and Prime Video in Africa. In Europe, Spain’s EITB, Portugal’s RTP, Croatia’s RTL Hrvatska, Finland’s Yle and Flemish Belgium’s VRT picked up the drama.

These acquisitions add to continuing co-production partnerships with Tubi, the exclusive home of the series in North America and Latin America, and ZDFneo in Germany.

Boarders follows five talented Black inner-city teens who receive scholarships to attend the prestigious boarding school St. Gilbert’s. They set out to make the most of the opportunity, despite their places only being offered as a poorly disguised PR exercise to improve the school’s reputation.

Season two begins a new era for the school after headmaster Bernard, who had brought the scholarship students into the school, is suspended. The new acting headmistress wants them gone.

The main cast of Boarders features Josh Tedeku, Jodie Campbell, Sekou Diaby, Myles Kamwendo and Aruna Jalloh. Writer and creator Daniel Lawrence Taylor stars as the five scholarship students’ mentor.

“We’re delighted to confirm that Boarders will now be available across five continents,” said Maartje Horchner, executive VP of content at All3Media International. “There has been a fantastic response to the show not only from viewers and critics but also from international partners such as Tubi, who—following the success of series one—quickly joined as co-producer for the second installment. With a new series now available, we expect to see even more broadcasters signing this high-energy, coming-of-age comedy-drama very soon.”

Madeleine Sinclair, creative director for scripted at Studio Lambert, added, “We’re thrilled that our funny and thought-provoking comedy-drama from the incredibly talented Daniel Lawrence Taylor will be heading to more viewers around the world via All3Media International’s latest deals. Boarders has been so well-received wherever it airs, and we can’t wait to welcome new fans into the world of St. Gilbert’s as our five leads navigate a new term of challenges in series two.”
