Onza Distribution has added The Color of Love (A Fazenda), a telenovela from TVI, to its offering.

The 120×60-minute series centers around the forbidden love between Eva, a Portuguese woman, and Talu, an Angolan man. Their lives are changed when a Portuguese businessman leaves his entire estate to Eva and her sisters instead of to Talu, his protégé.

Eva and Talu find themselves on opposing sides in a heated estate dispute and become trapped in a web of conspiracies.

The Color of Love was filmed in both Angola and Portugal.

The Color of Love is set to closely follow in Cacao’s footsteps and become a highly successful telenovela,” said Carlos Garde, Onza’s managing director. “We’re very excited; this telenovela showcases a spectacular cinematography and captivating African scenery that enhances a story filled with love, luxury and tension.”

Also, Onza Distribution has scored sales for two other TVI-produced telenovelas. Payback has been acquired by Pasión Novelas, a thematic channel owned by Alshana, to broadcast across various French-speaking African countries, including Senegal, Mali, Benin, Togo, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Gabon, Mauritania, Niger and Burkina Faso. It will also be available in La Réunion.

Cacao, meanwhile, will soon air across all sub-Saharan Africa.
