The Sympathizer Coming to Sky Atlantic & NOW

The seven-part limited series The Sympathizer, based on Viet Thanh Nguyen’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name, is slated to debut on Sky Atlantic and NOW on May 27.

The espionage thriller centers on the struggles of a half-French, half-Vietnamese communist spy during the final days of the Vietnam War. When he begins his new life as a refugee in Los Angeles, he learns that his spying days aren’t over.

The seven-parter stars Hoa Xuande, Fred Nguyen Khan, Toan Le, Phanxine, Vy Le, Ky Duyen, Kieu Chinh, Duy Nguyen, Alan Trong, Sandra Oh and Robert Downey Jr. Park Chan-wook and Don McKellar co-showrun and executive produce the series.

All seven episodes will bow exclusively on Sky Atlantic and NOW on May 27.
