HBO Max Orders Duster from J.J. Abrams & LaToya Morgan

HBO Max has given a series order for Duster, an eight-episode drama from J.J. Abrams, LaToya Morgan and Warner Bros. Television.

The series takes place in 1972 and sees the first Black female FBI agent head to the southwest and recruit a getaway driver in order to take down a growing crime syndicate. Rachel Hilson and Josh Holloway have been cast in the lead roles.

Additional cast members include Keith David, Sydney Elizabeth, Greg Grunberg, Camille Guaty, Asivak Koostachin, Adriana Aluna Martinez and Benjamin Charles Watson.

The first two episodes of Dusted are written by Abrams and Morgan, with Steph Green directing and executive producing. The series is also executive produced by Abrams and Rachel Rusch Rich for Bad Robot through its content partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery and Warner Bros. Television. Morgan is executive producing for TinkerToy Productions via its overall deal with WBTV.
