BBC has acquired the HBO Max mystery horror series Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin for BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

From Warner Bros. Television and Alloy Entertainment, the Pretty Little Liars spin-off sees a new generation of teen girls tormented by an unknown assailant and made to pay for the sins committed by their parents two decades ago. All episodes are available as a boxset on BBC iPlayer now.

The series stars Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles and Maia Reficco, as well as Mallory Bechtel, Sharon Leal, Elena Goode, Eric Johnson, Alex Aiono and Lea Salonga.

Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin is co-created by executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Riverdale, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and co-executive producer Lindsay Calhoon Bring (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina). It is produced by Muckle Man Productions and Alloy Entertainment (Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries, You) in association with Warner Bros. Television. I. Marlene King (who developed the original Pretty Little Liars), Michael Grassi, Caroline Baron and Alloy’s Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo are additional executive producers of the series.

“Described as one of the best horror TV shows of the past two decades when it launched on HBO Max earlier this year, BBC viewers can expect thrills and chills from this dark and twisty addition to the iconic franchise,” said Sue Deeks, head of BBC program acquisition.
