Paramount+ has altered the name of Taylor Sheridan’s new Yellowstone prequel from 1932 to 1923.

Starring Academy Award winner Helen Mirren and Academy Award nominee Harrison Ford, the series will now encompass the end of World War I and the start of Prohibition, both of which will be woven into the story.

1923, following the hit Yellowstone prequel series 1883, will focus on the Dutton family’s next two generations as they struggle to survive historic drought, lawlessness, the prohibition of alcohol and an epidemic of cattle theft, all under the cloud of Montana’s Great Depression, which preceded the nation’s by almost a decade.

The new limited series is being produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch Productions and is set to debut on Paramount+ in December. Sheridan, John Linson, Art Linson, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari and Ben Richardson are executive producing.
