Dynamic Takes On Icelandic Dramedy My Funeral

Dynamic Television has acquired the format and worldwide distribution rights for the hit Icelandic series My Funeral.

Produced by Glassriver and created by Jon Gunnar Geirdal, the series tackles existential questions about facing death. The dramedy premiered in Iceland on Siminn Premium SVOD last April and immediately became one of its most-watched and talked-about shows.

My Funeral follows a grumpy man stuck in a self-inflicted, pointless routine for far too long, estranged from his family, and unfulfilled in a meaningless career. After being unexpectedly diagnosed with an incurable brain tumor, he opts for a highly risky surgical operation that has a very low probability of survival. Convinced of his imminent demise, he decides the best way to reconcile his regrets in life is by hosting his own funeral.
