ABC Australia Lines Up Aftertaste

The six-part comedy-drama series Aftertaste has been slated to premiere on February 3 at 9 p.m. on ABC and ABC iview in Australia.

Erik Thomson and newcomer Natalie Abbott lead a cast that also includes Rachel Griffiths, Wayne Blair, Susan Prior, Peter Carroll and Remy Hii. The show centers on a volatile celebrity chef who returns home to the dysfunctional family he abandoned 30 years previously. He finds his outspoken 19-year-old pastry cook niece is the only person who shows any interest in his return, and the two set off on their quest to create Australia’s next great restaurant.

Aftertaste is a Closer production with major production investment from Screen Australia in association with the South Australian Film Corporation and financed with support from the ABC.
