MHz Choice Sets July & August Season Premieres

MHz Choice has unveiled the dates for new season premieres of five series from its catalog of European TV.

The six-episode season two of the Scandi noir thriller Alex will pick up after the end of season one saw Alex’s world fall apart despite saving his son from the mafia; his wife left him and he was sent to jail for killing a fellow police officer. Now, his only chance for survival might be to join the gangs he fought in his other life. The new season is slated to bow on August 25.

July premieres include the third season of the Italian mystery series Bulletproof Heart with Gigi Proietti (July 14); and the second season of Captain Marleau, a French mystery series created by Elsa Marpeau centering on the titular quirky cop (July 28).

In addition to Alex, August will see the new season premieres of the French docuseries Almost Perfect Crimes, which will launch its second season on August 4. The second season of the character-driven Norwegian legal drama Aber Bergen, which follows persistent defense lawyers Erik and Elea, will roll out on August 18.
