Mirage, a dramatic spy thriller about nuclear proliferation in the Middle East, is slated to make its Canadian-English broadcast debut on Super Channel over the weekend.

The six-part series is set against the backdrop of a futuristic cityscape with wealth and opportunity on the surface and a mysterious underbelly. It centers on Claire, an expatriate starting over in Abu Dhabi with her son and husband, who is thrust into the world of espionage after learning that her previous husband she thought had died is very much alive. The new Super Channel Fuse original series is slated to bow on March 8, at 8 p.m., with each episode becoming available on Super Channel On Demand the day after its weekly linear broadcast.

Mirage is directed by Louis Choquette (Versailles, 19-2) and stars an international cast featuring Marie-Josée Croze (Jack Ryan, The Barbarian Invasions), Clive Standen (Vikings, Taken), Hannes Jaenicke (Sardsch, Code Name: Eternity), Shawn Doyle (House of Cards, Frontier), Maxime Roy (19-2, October Faction) and Grégory Fitoussi (Spiral, Spin).

The series is created and written by Franck Philippon (No Limit, Tunnel), Bénédicte Charles (La Légiste) and Olivier Pouponneau (Surveillance, Watch Your Lip!). It is co-produced by Lincoln TV and Connect3 Media, a division of Cineflix Media, and Wild Bunch Germany. It counts among its broadcasters France Télévisions, Super Channel, Bell Media and ZDF. Cineflix Rights has the exclusive global distribution rights for the series.

Jackie Pardy, chief content officer for Super Channel, said: “We are thrilled to see this exciting international co-production come to life and to be bringing it to our viewers. It is an intense, multi-layered thriller that offers intrigue, espionage and an emotional love triangle, all set against the exotic backdrop of Abu Dhabi.”

Pablo Salzman, producer and president at Connect3 Media, added: “We’re extremely proud of this international series—from the incredibly talented cast and crew to our producer partners who have helped bring Mirage to life. We’re delighted that Super Channel is presenting it to English-language audiences in Canada.”
