Global Screen has inked a deal with the Canadian production company Pixcom for Amber Alert.

The 10×45-minute drama follows as a 12-year-old boy suddenly disappears. The Missing Persons Unit instantly sets off an Amber Alert, and the investigation gradually uncovers the family’s darkest secrets that triggered the tragedy.

Produced by Pixcom in collaboration with Quebecor Content, the series aired on TVA in Canada with an average market share of 38 percent, and a second season is in production to air this fall.

Written by Julie Hivon and directed by Stéphan Beaudoin, the series features Vincent Leclerc (White House Down, Bad Blood) as the missing child’s father, Madeleine Péloquin (Les Pays d’en Haut, Nitro Rush), Sophie Prégent (Unité 9) and rising star Lévi Doré (The Fall of Sparta).
