BET, Tyler Perry Prep The Oval

The Oval, which begins principal photography for BET this summer, is the first series to emerge out of Tyler Perry’s exclusive, multiyear content partnership deal with Viacom.

The Tyler Perry Studios production, following as a new first family moves into the White House, stars Ed Quinn, Kron Moore, Paige Hurd and Daniel Croix Henderson. The drama delves into the dark secrets that lie below the surface of the family’s seemingly perfect life.

Perry will generate more than 75 hours of content for BET over the next year, including another drama series, two comedy series and a live holiday-themed production.

“I’ve been hard at work on The Oval and can’t wait to share this story with audiences,” said Perry. “I’ve set out to create a show that tells the story of a family placed in the White House by people of power while also highlighting the personal side and everyday lives of the staff who run the inner workings of the nation’s most iconic residence.”
