Starz Worldwide Distribution Expands Output Deal with Super Channel

EDMONTON/BEVERLY HILLS: Starz Worldwide Distribution and Super Channel have renewed and extended their multiyear output agreement that will continue to bring new Starz original series and an annual collection of movies repped by Starz Worldwide Distribution to the Canadian network.

Under the deal, Super Channel will be the exclusive English pay-TV home in Canada for Starz originals during the life of the programs and the premium TV runs for a number of upcoming Starz originals, including Ash vs Evil Dead, a show based on the classic horror film The Evil Dead; The Girlfriend Experience, an anthology series from Steven Soderbergh; and the first Starz original movie, The Dresser, co-produced by Starz and BBC and inspired by Ronald Harwood's play of the same name. The agreement also includes Flesh and Bone, an eight-part limited series focused on a troubled young dancer who joins a ballet company in New York.
