Sony Movie Channel & AXN Movies to Launch in Canada

TORONTO: Sony Pictures Television Networks has signed a deal with Hollywood Suite to bring the Sony Movie Channel and AXN Movies to Canada.

Hollywood Suite will serve as the exclusive Canadian home for the two channels, which will launch September 4. Sony Movie Channel will feature films such as The Big Chill, Tootsie, Lawrence of Arabia and The Graduate. AXN Movies is set to broadcast films such as Taxi Driver, Ghostbusters, The Karate Kid and Snatch.
