SILVER SPRING/TORONTO: SCIENCE in the U.S. has picked up season one of Shaftesbury’s drama series ReGenesis, starring Peter Outerbridge and Ellen Page.

The 13-episode hour-long Canadian series, which premiered on SCIENCE last month, features a team of scientists charged with investigating the global use and abuse of advanced biotechnology. Season one of the series originally premiered in Canada in 2004 on pay television networks Movie Central and The Movie Network, and four seasons of the series have since been produced and sold in more than 100 countries worldwide. It is distributed in North America by Shaftesbury and internationally by Entertainment One.

"With so many story lines based on fact, ReGenesis takes a provocative look at what we take for granted about science and technology," said Christina Jennings, the chairman and CEO of Shaftesbury.
