In addition to the comedic feature and BBC series The Trip, starring Steve Coogan and Rob Byrdon, there’s The Escapist, directed by Rupert Wyatt, and the Academy Award-winning film Dances with Wolves, directed by and starring Kevin Costner. Other Goalpoast films set for TV distribution by Shaftesbury include Closed for Winter, Clubland, Head Above Water and Whirlygirl.

“Goalpost’s library of crowd-pleasing quality films, starring top-tier talent, provides wide-ranging appeal and flexibility for international buyers, who can program these titles across multiple networks, schedules and time slots,” said Shane Kinnear, the senior VP of sales and marketing at Shaftesbury.

“It is great to be in partnership with Shaftesbury on our library titles, as the company has such a distinct and strong presence within the televisual marketplace that will serve the titles well,” added Tristan Whalley, the managing director of Goalpost Film.
