Shaftesbury Ramps Up Creative Team

TORONTO: Shaftesbury has appointed Jay Bennett, an executive at its digital studio, Smokebomb Entertainment, as the senior VP of creative and innovation.

In this newly created role, Bennett will be responsible for the creative direction and innovation of the company. He will focus on technology and multiscreen content, including original digital and feature film projects and branded entertainment, in partnership with Shaftesbury’s recently launched brand agency, shift2. Bennett will also oversee marketing, research, audience engagement, and merchandising and licensing strategies across all divisions. In addition, he will continue to oversee Smokebomb Entertainment. Bennett joined Smokebomb as creative director in September 2008.
