LOS GATOS: Subscribers to the Canadian Netflix service are gaining access to a wealth of drama series and films from the Warner Bros. catalogue, including the supernatural hit The Vampire Diaries.

As part of a pact with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, Netflix customers in Canada can watch seasons one and two of The Vampire Diaries now, with season three being delivered in January. Also in January, J.J. Abrams’ Fringe and the mystery-thriller Pretty Little Liars launch on the service. The deal includes films as well, including The Hangover Part II, The Dark Knight Rises, Horrible Bosses and more. These movies will be available for a limited period following their pay-TV window.

"We are thrilled to be the exclusive online subscription home for The Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars, Fringe and great Warner Bros. feature films in Canada," said Ted Sarandos, the chief content officer at Netflix. "Over the years, we’ve learned that our members love to immerse themselves in serialized dramas and great movies, and we think that our Canadian members are going to love these latest additions to the service."
