Judith Beauchemin has been appointed president of CMJ Productions II, where she has been a senior exec for the past 15 years, effective immediately.

In her new role, Beauchemin is charged with many of the day-to-day responsibilities associated with the company’s operations. She most recently served as CMJ’s executive VP. Earlier in her career, she was a freelance production manager for various TV companies based in Canada.

CMJ Productions II became part of the new Attraction STUDIOS banner last month. Founder John Kuyk will continue at the company in a strategic capacity. He will focus on developing new and innovative business models to drive CMJ’s expansion, in addition to providing support for Beauchemin during this time of transition.

Marleen Beaulieu, president of Attraction STUDIOS, remarked: “Judith is widely respected in the global production community for her consensus-building management style and her hands-on creative approach to developing programming that helps networks concurrently build both audience share and advertising revenues.”

Kyuk added: “Having worked closely with Judith for nearly two decades, I am simply bursting with pride to see her take over CMJ’s presidential reins. Her continued dedication to her craft and our organization will surely keep CMJ positioned as a leading production company for many years to come.”
