TORONTO: Insight Productions has promoted long-time consultant Jane Rimer to chief of international business and creative development.

Rimer’s appointment is effective immediately, and her duties have been expanded to include growing the company’s North American imprint and increasing the volume of business with U.S. and international broadcast partners in both the scripted and unscripted areas. She will be responsible for expanding the development team and strengthening digital and OTT content exploitation. Rimer will continue to oversee strategic partnerships, international distribution agreements, co-production, co-venture and first-look deals. She will also continue to run Insight’s U.S.-based international headquarters.

In addition to these new responsibilities, Rimer is also joining Insight’s senior management team, which oversees long-term growth for the company. She will continue to report to CEO John Brunton and COO Barbara Bowlby.

Insight’s senior management team now includes Rimer, Erin Brock, Lindsay Cox, Mark Lysakowski, Rahmiel Rothenberg and Susy Papais, as well as Brunton and Bowlby.

Brunton, chair and CEO of Insight Productions, said, “As Insight looks to more aggressively expand its global business, Barb and I are so thrilled to have Jane help guide the company into the future. Jane is a brilliant strategist and a key driver of our planned expansion.”

Bowlby, COO and president of Insight Productions, added, “Jane’s inclusion in the senior management team both capitalizes on her vast expertise in business planning and execution and recognizes the tremendous leadership skills she has brought to Insight from the beginning.”
