eOne Lands Canadian Rights to Remstar Features

TORONTO/MONTREAL: Entertainment One (eOne) has entered into a three-year distribution agreement with Remstar Films for the Canadian market.

eOne will be the exclusive distributor of Remstar content, handling rights in all media in Canada. Remstar will handle all theatrical, VOD and French-language television rights in Quebec.

“Remstar has built a very solid business through great leadership and products,” said Bryan Gliserman, the president of eOne Films Canada. “The company has long thrived in the Quebec market with premium French-language titles such as Polythechinique, Funkytown and Mesrine. They also have a proven aptitude for acquiring award-winning and commercial features, like The Wrestler and Planet 51, and we’re looking forward to collaborating with them to offer their product throughout Canada.”
