TORONTO: CraveTV, the SVOD service that is currently only available to subscribers of select pay-TV providers, will be offered directly to Canadian consumers beginning January 1.

The platform is at the moment accessible to customers of Bell, Eastlink and Telus, among others, delivering more than 1,300 TV titles to subscribers. Bell Media, which owns CraveTV, says that additional details on the direct-to-consumer SVOD offering will be revealed in the coming months.

“As our business model has continued to evolve, the time is right to also offer CraveTV as a standalone product,” said Mary Ann Turcke, the president of Bell Media. “We are pleased to provide TV lovers across Canada with full access to the thousands of hours of premium television programming available on CraveTV.”
