CMF’s English Point of View Program Supports 17 Projects

TORONTO: The Canada Media Fund (CMF) has revealed a total contribution of C$5 million ($3.8 million) to 17 projects that applied to the Convergent Stream's English POV Program for the production of point-of-view documentaries.

Of the 17 projects funded by the CMF, 13 have television and digital media components, two are TV-only, and two others are digital media projects only. One is from Alberta, one is from British Columbia, three are from Québec, 11 are from Ontario and one is an interprovincial co-production between Ontario and Québec.

Since 2010, the CMF has provided more than C$20.3 million ($15.5 million) to 86 projects that applied for POV funding through this program.
