A+E Networks Pacts with Shaw for Lifetime, H2 in Canada

NEW YORK/TORONTO: A+E Networks is partnering with Shaw Media to bring Lifetime, as well as the factual service H2, to Canada this fall, marking the international debut for both brands.

The new partnership with Shaw will also see the specialty channel History Television being rebranded as HISTORY.

“This marks a particularly important milestone for A+E Networks as Canada represents the first international launch for both Lifetime and H2,” said Sean Cohan, the senior VP of international at A+E Networks. “Shaw Media has a strong track record for building powerful TV brands and we are confident that HISTORY, Lifetime and H2 will appeal to viewers across Canada.”
