Tricon Bulks Up Slate Ahead of MIPCOM

TORONTO: Tricon Films & Television has a slew of new scripted and lifestyle programming to present at MIPCOM, including a number of HD automotive series from a package of 270-plus hours from its new distribution partnership with U.S. producer RTM Productions.

New RTM series are Xtreme 4×4, Muscle Car, Horsepower, Search and Restore and Trucks.

Among the scripted highlights are Sunnyside, a sketch comedy created by award winners Gary Pearson and Dan Redican and starring top comedic talent including Kathleen Phillips and Pat Thornton; Real Rob!, a scripted comedy series, interspersed with Rob Schneider’s stand-up performances; The Spoils Before Dying, a pulp-noir murder mystery set in the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles’ jazz scene; and a second season of Sensitive Skin, a dramedy starring Kim Cattrall.

As for factual highlights, Tricon's slate includes On the Record with Mick Rock, which goes into musical artists’ hometowns to check out the sights and sounds that inspire them, and Rock Icons, a music biography series.
